After winning my first two matches handily and being extremely confident, I lost both of my following rounds to Thundermare. Why? Because Nightmare exists. Nightmare has flying, and Thundermare has similar artwork and a similar name, so it must fly, right? I sat there and let myself die to Thundermare while having blockers and 3x Quicksand in play, and no one said anything until after I was eliminated from contention.
The worst part? I had played against one of my friends before the event started and I treated his Thundermare as though it had flying then, but he didn't say anything and just assumed I had some sort of plan.

He and Morinfen were staples for me at the time, loved me some "Bash Brothers."
