As Adam said, without B&M stores, there is no Magic. Wizards understands this, and that's why they do everything they can to help us. The game would die VERY quickly if the only retailers were online and the only tournaments were PTQ's and the SCG open. In short, you're a retard.

Yeah, I hate playing at the local store with people I have befriended in a friendly environment. I would rather spend tons of money on online conglomerates and then go to competitions where my sole purpose in life is to win. Who cares about FNM anyways? And for that matter, who cares about small businesses?

Brick and mortar stores are what keep the game going. They provide easy access to product, and usually a venue to play. They're an avenue for new players to dabble in the game and become more engaged with the community. Without brick and mortars there is no Magic.
