Good read! Interesting call on the Stag against Germs. Earlier in the summer I had some success with GW Maverick, which relied heavily on GSZ. I did my fair share of scrounging around for random green creatures with that deck.

One of the sticking points I found with GSZ targets is that it's much harder to Zenith them out if they're 3CMC, which is why Scavenging Ooze and Scryb Ranger are so awesome at 2CMC.

Regardless, GSZ is now one of my favourite cards and I try to work it into every deck I make, including EDH. Awww yeah.
