Thank you so much for your support! Pictures are definitely a concise way of communicating a particular point, plus they make the articles more pleasant to read. :-). Thanks again!

You bring up a very legitimate concern . Tarmogoyf is one of those cards that has almost always been a bit on the costly side, especially considering it was printed just a few years ago. While it is true that any Zoo-like deck would run Tarmogoyf, will it necessarily be as widespread as it is in Legacy? These Zoo-based aggro decks are very dominant right now to the point where other aggro decks are strictly inferior. Most people are targeting Grove or Nacatl as the banning targets; if those are banned, do we need to have Tarmogoyf banned as well? In an ideal world, the card that is most threatening to a healthy format should be banned, not the most expensive. Are the two the same here? I am not sure.

Another possibility is a non-standard Tarmogoyf reprint. This would help the cost situation but not necessarily the power level one.

Either way, I am holding my 4 Tarmogoyfs. No more, no less.

Good question. Tarmogoyf is the reason I haven't touched Modern (that and I don't own a single shock land). He isn't so scary in Legacy where $50+ cards are much more commonplace

By the principle implemented by wotc itself the fact that the cards its so weavly played in my oppinion justify a ban.
But for some reason every one that is talking of bans, rule the card out of their lists as possible bans.
Its just that safe to assume that the card will not get the axe?
