Merfolk? Goblins? Elves? All tribal legacy decks that don't really care about wasteland and would benefit from having nearly spell uncounterable. Oofta.

In addition he can help protect a creature based combo and will obviously be good in Tribal. Don't rule out EDH interest in this card. I also really like all the other rare lands for EDH.
