make trading easy for your would be trade partners by following rule one. quickly make an offer. remember they want to trade and anything that makes that happen makes them happy generally.

when trading multiple cards, split them up. remember that people generally want to reciprocate and use this to your advantage to set up trades by splitting them up. this is often just as effective as giving away solid commons/uncommons to set up trades.

anytime you feel resistance, just walk away. it really isn’t worth the effort. you shouldn’t need to convince people to trade with you. if you can trade applying rules 1 & 2 then trading should be fun. encourage others to trade in similar “fun” ways and just politely refuse the grind trade.

I haven't tried 'Observation 2' often, but I have been asking for random rare throws since forever (if they don't seem to have anything on my wants list) and that's always been lucrative. I might try to implement this a little more often.

'Observation 3' is something I do practice, but I notice that I either walk away quickly or not at all. Walking away when you've already invested a relevant amount of time is difficult. I always assume that there will be another one to trade with or buy from at some point in the future. Except for very rare cards this has always proven true.

Did you got in touch with traders who pull out their smartphones immediately looking up prices? How do you proceed from there? I am not talking about a bulk trade but more of reasonable value with Modern/Standard staples like Restoration Angel, Kiki-Jiki etc.
