I agree with Jason on this one..Ral Zarek is WAY overhyped…and Voice will drop as well. Legion’s Initiative saw virtually no play this weekend and I expect it to be in the 4-5 dollar range soon enough.

In no particular order-

Sire of Insanity- He may be a sideboard card but I imagine he\’ll have a lot of hype so there is a lot of financial opportunity here. He may very well be this set\’s vexing devil. Sure his effect is powerful. He\’s also a Sivitri Scarzum against half the decks in the format.

Deadbridge Chant- If you haven\’t tested with it, you\’re not allowed to comment. That\’s the new rule. It\’s absurdly powerful.

Advent of the Wurm- I\’m inclined to build around Trostani again and this card is a big reason why, the other being…

Trostani\’s Summoner- Too good with Trostani out, super decent without. The mana cost may be prohibitive, but no one pays the mana cost for creatures that cost more than 5 mana anyway

Aetherling- We\’ll see if 7 mana is too much to pay for this guy

Unflinching Courage- No one liked Gift of Orzhova but a functional reprint of a card everyone likes already had better be enough to convince people to play good cards

Plasm Capture- I think this card sucks, but people who play this game don\’t and even if they\’re wrong (they are) you should still be ready for this card to hit $10 so you can out them. They\’re already trading around $10.

Deputy of Acquittals- Almost too good to be common

Sin Collector- Seems fine

These cards will all drop in price. Stay away.

In reply to kakwann. Its possible Sire should have been ranked number three and I almost switched it to be honest, but once cavern of souls is no longer legal, I think sire wont really be playable anymore so long term his value should go down. As far as voice, I do think its going to have a bigger impact than you realize. Making your control opponent cast think twice on their turn is a pretty big deal. The same can be said of revelation. Turning those cards into sorceries brings them down in power level quickly. Also, not that price dictates quality all the time, but Voice is basically a thirty dollar card now. I don't think it will stay that high, but I don't think it will tank either. Thanks for the feedback.

I like some of your picks. Sire of Insanity is vastly underrated IMO but i don’t believe Voice will be that great. its ability make it nothing more that a GW conditional grand abolisher (if its for the win, they won’t mind). control player won’t keep playing think twice in your turn. control will become a more tapped out style, that’s all… you won’t attack on a stalled board with your 2/2 almost unblockable, because you will fear of losing it and getting the */* removed after. There is better bears for legacy/modern i think. Swords to Plowshare/Path to Exile are the most played removal in those format. Just remember that. (it’s not a “it die to removal argument…” just a “it’s not that great”) its not a 20$ card IMO… more like 5-7$
