If you were able to watch live the PT and grab some amulet at 2-2.5 tix, even 3 tix, you would have been able to sell at 4-4.5 on Saturday/Sunday.

You can’t make millions with these sudden spikes as cards disappeared quickly, that’s why it’s very reasonable strategy fro small bankroll, as making 10-20 tix profits in 48h represent a fair part of the bankroll.

Nightveil Specter got a little less hype after the devotion mechanism was spoiled, because not many people were sure it would be playable (it was not before). The PT theros revealed the Specter.

Many other examples could have been cited. And many cards are worthwhile keeping an eye on when comes spoilers, PT, GP, etc…

Deathrite ShamanI a little bit annoying for KotR but think people remembered Big Zoo with Wild Nacatl and KotR, and though that would be a great deck again.

Always hard to catch the peak, unless you are lucky. I was fortunate to catch the peak on the Amulet of Vigor spike. It was featured a couple times on camera that day and when I saw it hotlisted for 4+ I leaped…

I think Sylvain’s advice about not being afraid to take profits is a good one. You’ll often miss out on that last 10%-20% but in return you can stay liquid and move on to the next opportunity.

I don’t think it was possible to gain much profit even if you were a lightning-fast selling robot.

You should definitely mention Nightveil Specter instead of Boros Reckoner. Nightveil got something of a 700% increase!
