i dunno. anything t1-2 pharika + obliterator and you swing 10 next turn, 5 indestructable, 5 virtually unblockable. i think it does more in most of your posted games than tarmagoyf and offers another GY trick to go with scavaging ooze. just pretend you have one in hand versus goyf and see what you think. i think it’s at least testable. sure makes oblit eat removal tho.

I just wanted to thank you for the very detailed lines of play and your reasoning behind a lot of your lines/choices, I have found that it has helped me familiarize myself with a lot of decks that I don’t get an opportunity to play at my LGS/Test against. I’ve been able to cast Courser pretty well. I actually took out Obliterator completely for a harder control feel, however I was thinking about trying to squeeze him back in via making all my blue sources that i’ve added be some sort of U/B duals be it either Watery Grave, Creeping Tar Pit, or Blue Black filter lands. Gonna spend a bunch of time testing it, with the chance of always falling back to B/G Obliterator Rock if it doesn’t work out.

In reply to Matt Sears. Good question! I've lost many games to damage from my own Bob over the years, but that's just a price I'm willing (and even eager) to pay to have such a powerful effect. The life loss from Bob has a relatively small effect on what spells I play in my deck compared to the more important question of do I want to draw this card to potentially cast it. I love the idea of experimenting with BUG and trying out similar ideas, while these kind of ideas are usually slightly worse than the original build, you do get some advantage from playing unexpected cards and also it's a great way to learn. In your particular case, my primary concern would be the cost of adding a 3rd color to a mana base that's trying to support Courser and Obliterator. Snapcaster and Tar Pit are some truly sweet cards, though.

Have you not had the issue of taking too much damage from Bob yet? You’re list feels pretty heavy with 3 drops. I’ve been playing it for awhile now and recently transitioned it into BUG control to give me access to Snapcaster Mage, Creeping Tar Pit, and Spell Pierce.
