Yeah, that’s all true. The only danger is in playing cards that cater to this guy but looks really bad when he gets Doom Bladed.

There are so many effects to just directly put +1/+1 counters onto creatures and the fact that these effects simply targeting SoH give him one paves the way for any number of combo decks imho. Card Draw, flashback, blinking, counter-clocks, etc. As long as you can maintain card advantage somehow, this essentially becomes the new Time Walk. And even if you can’t set up an early game infinite loop everytime, going 2, 3, or 4 turns ahead of your opponent is still crazy just for the land-drops.
