If Tyrant’s Choice is legacy legal, black just received an improved Flame Rift. R/B Burn could be quite playable.

In reply to QuestionsComments. I wouldn\'t consider it drawing you a card a liability, and I mostly discussed it in terms of its liabilities. Also, in a 4 player EDH game, you draw 3 fewer cards than the people you\'re trying to beat. It\'s OK in a group hug deck, but I don\'t really like it.

Tyrant’s Choice just seems terrible. How do I explain to a new player at a draft that it has no effect if both options are tied? I wish they would at least print relevant information such as that on the face of the card…

Not sure if you got this, but you draw a card with Sevala too. If you’re playing in a 4-player EDH game, he says “everyone draw a card, you add (roughly) 2 mana, and gain two life.” Not bad for a 3-cost guy.
