Yeah, I’m not usually a fan of wasting money on sub-par decks and ending up no closer to a real deck after losing a lot… but this is like literally a $10 deck and that’s all some people want.

I think you’re missing the point. Of course this deck would benefit from Mutavaults. It could arguably want to play Ajani over Spear, but then the deck would not be a budget deck… which is the whole point of this post. Not everyone has the financial resources to spend 120 dollars on 4 lands, regardless of how good it makes their deck.
