I don’t think you’re incorrect on a directional basis. But I am not sure if cheaper Fetches will all of a sudden make Legacy more accessible, so I don’t think it bumps Dual Land prices higher. I think Dual Lands will always trend higher, but I don’t think this will move the needle really. I suppose it really can’t hurt, right?

Well, do dual lands push higher to soak up some of the value lost by the fetches tanking in price (I’m assuming they reprint all 10)? Do more people move into Legacy since a portion of the land base just got significantly cheaper? Just seems like a lot of Legacy playables have gotten cheaper recently via reprints (Exploration, Stifle, Misdirection, Thoughtseize, Scavenging Ooze, a bunch of MMA stuff, etc.)

Unfortunately I have no exposure to MTGO so I can’t say. Are there Modern PTQ’s on MTGO this season to? If so, I have to imagine things settle down soon. But the reality is everything over shot on the high end in both paper and MTGO (it sounds like) so the prices we’re settling at now are more reality and less hype. We gotta be patient here.

Dual Lands continue to be the prohibitive force that prices people out of Legacy? That’s my answer, at least. Do you disagree?

Thanks for the kind words! It sounds like we’re on the same page with Modern observations. I can’t recommend moving into Fetches at all here unless you can flip them easily and quickly.

Karakas baffles me. It’s not on the reserved list, but it did see the judge foil printing. Since the card is banned in EDH, where would it make sense to be reprinted? It won’t be in FTV: Annihilator and certainly not in Standard. It feels like Judge Foils is the best place for this card. I don’t expect another reprint of it in the near term, honestly. But stranger things have happened.
