Actually, “please make a new Jace and make him terrible” more or less paraphrase a conversation I had earlier this week…

As a certified Island hater, I’m happy to see a Jace that hopefully I won’t have to see much during his Standard legality.

That said, while easily the worst Jace I can see him getting played with at least in FNM tier 2 level decks.

Mixed in a mono U “kraken deck” as played by Neil Rigby at GP Manchester Scourge of Fleets or Whelming Wave + jace, the Living Guildpack ultimate is fun enough to win a FNM!

With Tassa and the +1 ability of this Jace you can nicely sift your deck every turn.

Typically the kind of useless card I like 🙂 I think I’ll have fun playing casual decks with him with the copies I’ll spec on.

I think his thought was “this will still probably see play and at $15, it’s probably good to pick them up if you’re playing Standard and feel like being a completionist.”

For all the underestimated planeswalkers, remember that there are a bunch that were identified as awful when they were spoiled and were still awful in Standard – Tibalt and the newest Gideon, for example.

Uh, new Jace’s ultimate isn’t symmetrical. You get seven cards. They get zero cards.
