A high-cost creature needs to either have an etb effect (like a Titan), or be resilient to removal. Five mana is the most I would pay for a creature who just gets killed and leaves me with nothing, and it needs to be at least as good as Stormbreath Dragon. At seven mana and with no resilience to removal, Drogskol Reaver never really had a chance to begin with.
