To the contrary, it takes an enormous amount for a 6/6 for five to see play. An undercosted body is sufficient for a 2- or 3-drop, but certainly not at 4+ mana.

The unplayables box is littered with large bodies attached to mediocre abilities. To name a few, Alms Beast, Yeva, Nature’s Herald, Bloodgift Demon, Deadbridge Goliath, Mycoid Shepherd, Spellbreaker Behemoth, etc. These cards are more aggressively costed than Surrak. They still saw little to no play.

I think Sivitri Scarzam is actually quite the apt comparison.

He’s a five mana 6/6, and like a three mana 4/4 that is Savage Knuckleblade, it doesn’t take much more for a five mana 6/6 to see play. Both Sivitri and Emmara cost two more than Surrak, that’s the difference between Plasm Capture and Mana Drain. I understand you wanted to express how ridiculously overpriced he is right now, but this kind of hyperbole lessens your credibility.

I think Surrak is good enough to compete with Stormbreath Dragon and Sarkhan at the five mana spot. I already sold half my Stormbreaths at $13 because of these two cards. I’m not buying Surrak or Sarkhan; the five mana spot in red seems crowded. Sarkhan is so similar to Stormbreath that he effectively doubles the supply of Stormbreath.
