Personally, I don’t spend money on MTGO anymore because I just don’t find it worth the time. Playing online from home certainly sounds appealing, but the clunky interface and the ever present risk of servers dropping dead just makes it a poor alternative to other online games that stable, intuitive, and don’t feel like a waste of time.

I love Magic a hell of a lot, and thankfully there are many good shops within a reasonable driving distance. It’s just that I really don’t Magic Online an enjoyable way to spend time and money. Maybe one day they’ll bring it up to snuff, but who knows. Until then, it’s paper Magic for my Magic fix, and stable online games for my video gaming fix.
