That’s a great question and the answer is definitively no.

A lot of my recent big gainers were from Pauper and bulk cards specs (such as Monastery Siege). Buying/Selling 30 or 40 copies of them make a significant difference at that level but would not make a dent in a 10k bankroll for instance. I trying to spec on 500 Chittering Rats is not realistic either.

With bigger bankroll you need to invest in more expensive positions in order to use all your Tix.

This being said, if you can spend more time you can alos make up for some of the difference by being able to handle more positions and flipping them more often than I do here (i missed some good selling or buying opportunities by lack of time).

I would say that up to 10k you could go x2/x3 max after a year, but you’ll still need to dedicate a certain time to it every week.

At the other extreme you can invest in full sets and very expensive cards with very big bankrolls (50k or more). You could easily place 2-5k Tix in full sets for +30-50% return every 6 months or so.

My question is, could you have received similar percentage gains with a bigger starting bankroll? EX. if you had 1K do you think you could have made it into 5K? or 10k into 50k?
