So it became a Cancel + Madness … 🙁
May Press for Answers work for Team Blightsteel although it is a Sorcery?
Or is Thraben Inspector still the best Choice?

I am kind of disappointed…

If a 5 Mana Counterspell is all that Blue gets to push a conrol archetype (which clearly lacks in Standard and in Modern), I seriously don’t get their testing… also I am in love with Shape Anew and I want this to happen! 😉

Still not sure wether a pure control shell will or an early-aggro aka Delver gameplan with the upside of closing out a game out of nowhere Turn 4-5 will suit Team Blightsteel best.

I’ve been toying with it myself and I’m shifting between it and Blue Moon as potential post-eldrazi blue decks to play. It seems you share, at least partially, an interest in Shape Anew.

If Shape Anew might not deserve an article on its own(depending on the SOI spoilers to come) some kind of article on the state of non-merfolk blue decks in the months to come would be very interesting!

The thought of having ghirapur aether grid as backup to ping the daylights out of opponents is right up my street as well.

I’m not usually a combo player because frantically digging for pieces while I’m getting killed makes me nervous, but it looks like it might be possible to put together a UW control shell with these enablers and the combo thrown in and play a regular (ish) control game until you can slam Shape Anew. Are too many slots used up by the “investigators” + combo pieces for that to be possible?

Definitely disappointed about the counterspell, but I think the deck has a good place in a Jeskai shell with these investigate cards floating around.

Just curious, do you have a decklist for what you said you have tested involving the clue mechanic? I am working on my own right now and would love to see what you’re working on.
