Oh well, it was fun while it lasted).

I’m surprised that you managed several articles’ worth of words for this busted deck. I would have abandoned hope after the pro tour.

Oh wait, I did. Ignoring the format was, sadly, the best option.

It wasn’t all bad. The downtime got me into a great standard deck (Mardu Green) and standard is a LOT healthier right now. I would have loved to play in the modern side events after scrubbing out of GP Houston, but it wasn’t worth wasting the money to run Jund or Tron off a cliff (I did, however, play MM2015 2 headed giant sealed and placed very well). On the other hand, vendors were generous with TKS and reality smasher buylists and I made 300% profit on my foil eye of ugin. Now I have a legacy deck. Hurray? Hurray!

I’m excited for the ban so I can play in a Modern IQ again. We have weekly modern night and the store owner shamed the eldrazi players into not playing it, but I’d rather compete for $250 and an scg invite over $15 store credit. Soon……

You should write an article on your decklist and experience. I, for one, would love to read it.

That’s great and I do believe Sheridan owes you the chance to be on Modern Nexus:

“Brave enough to rally your Reckless Bushwacker Goblins through a Grand Prix field? Hit me up for a feature piece, especially if you piledrive into Day 2.”

I’d say take him up on that. 🙂 I think people would be surprised how much damage that deck can dish out on Turn 3 or 4. (If need help writing it, let me know, I’d gladly help out. hehe)

PileDriver is nice and all, but Legion Loyalist is amazing! Only loses were to U/W Control. Eldrazi, Affinity, Chord/CoCo, and Infect were all sooo easy

I’m the 0%!

Made this short song as a tribute to R&D for their excellent work as of late.

maybe some of the promising cards from SOI will change that… and the lone bright spot is the emergence of abzan company which i think has some legs…

I HIGHLY doubt anything will be unbanned (or something else being banned).

Most likely it will revert from the disgusting eldrazi meta to the horrible linear non interactive one, barring some breakthrough card in SOI.
I have a hard time to be excited about extremely bad turning to very bad, honestly.

As long as you commit to a heavy removal/Damnation package. Kalitas is very good and actually outperforms Tasigur/Angler.

Grixis is also a very playstyle oriented deck.

To me Tasigur and Anglers were actually too slow and require us to run unnecessary filler cards like Thoughtscour or Jace. Once the format gets slower again. Then sure maybe…

But once again Grixis Builds are very flexible and can be tailored to an individuals playstyle.

Our goal is to grind incremental advantages through frequent 2-for-1 and 3-for-2 plays. Kalitas turns all of our spot removal (normally 4 bolt, 2 or 3 KCommand and 2 or 3 Terminate) into 2-for-1 or 3-for-1. I for one think in an Eldrazi meta, Kalitas is too slow and we need to be powering out a turn 2 or 3 Tasigur. But after Eldrazi are gone Kalitas might be better.

Interesting: no Jace or Tasigur, mainboard Engineered Explosives, and 2 Kalitas. I’m glad you had relative good luck with this deck, what would be the advantage of running Kalitas over Tasigur? Would you recommend this setup after the upcoming ban (or a Eldrazi dominated meta)?

Eww.. just realized that exporting off of MTGO is pretty crappy.
