Nice piece, but I don’t agree about Prized Amalgam. Along with insolent neonate is the main enabler for the new modern dredge deck that sees a lot of play and good results on mtgo. Piloting that Zen Takahashi has won a WMC and the deck is raising even more in popularity since then.
IMHO Prized Amalgam is a gem that just waits to be discovered by the masses… and even other Staples like Golgari Grave Troll, Bloodghast and Life from the Loam may knew a second Youth, both paper and online.
I’m gonna keep buying every Amalgam I found below 0,40c.

I agree with the languish call, which reminds me of a simular ‘problem’ Matt once had with Thragtusk; That card had dropped from 15 to 3 in july. Matt (and I agreeing) decided to buy into Thragtusk because there were still 2 grand tournaments to be played in august/september.
That was the biggest loss of my starting speculators life… fortunatly i hold onto my 50 thragtusks even when they went down to 0.5, and about a year ago i could still cash out lol.

picked up 2 playsets of Chandra couple days ago at 12.9 and have been seeing small but steady increase since, glad you agree to buy as I was bit hesitant at first…prized amalgam I will hold onto thou as they were so cheap (0.15 a copy) that I got about 57 and even if it never does anything, its a minimal investment at best…great series, plz keep it up 😀

Thanks , i decided to buy in for just 6 chandra as im low on cash right now ! Hoping it will turn out well 🙂
