I am using it with Chandra, Pyrogenious and Spireside Infiltrator for ultimate sniping. What do you think

About grixis though, the mana base can be a turn slower in the beginning but you get access to collective brutality, discarding alms and temper, allowing thermo to ping for 4 in one turn. If you have a stormchaser out too, its swinging for 4 making it 16 damage in 1 turn. It’s not uncommon to have a scenario like this. Alms swinging life 6 points is also very relevant in aggro matchups. You don’t think the black splash is worth it?

I wasn’t satisfied with what I could come up with for a Grixis manabase, though Nahiri is really intriguing. Jeskai is a possibility, though I haven’t put any work into that.

Basic Island is really bad, and hitting blue is pretty important. You could experiment with it but I’m not ready to say you can cut them.

Love watching you play blue… what are your thoughts on splashing a third colour… either black (Alms of the vein) or white (Nahiri from sideboard) using Ather Hubs … then energy synergies with Harness lighting looks a bit better …

Loved the article write up. I’ve been trying to make this deck work and play optimized for a while and it’s an utter blast! One of the main questions I have is about the mana base. I see you still have Highland Lakes in the list. Do you still think it needs to be in there? I’m just not sure if the mana fixing needs to be that heavily strong. And the thought of a potential 11 tap lands sucks in this deck. Just wondering. Thanks

And awesome playing and thanks for wicked coverage as well.

Those decks are solid, but I actually think that both Stormchaser Mage and Take Inventory, in addition to the sideboard options, are excellent.

You would gain Alms of the Vein, Collective Brutality, Unlicensed Disintegration.

You can also use Scrapheap Scrounger as a resilient attacker instead of Stormchaser Mage and Kalitas against aggro.

Key to the City is a free discard outlet, lets you swing in with an attacker, filter cards in a grindy match.

Cathartic Reunion is better in decks that want to play from the Graveyard (Dredge) or want specific cards in the graveyard (Kozilek’s Return). You want to play it turn two to activate your combo.

Tormenting Voice is better for a deck that want Madness enabled, or that want to play it later in the game, which is the case here. You don’t want to play it turn 2, unlike Dredge. When your are in topdecking mode, with one land in hand, you will prefer Tormenting Voice.
