Exactly. If I was playing and trading a lot things would be very different. When I did follow Standard they were the easiest cards to move and I have no doubt that they still are, it just takes too much time next to a full-time job.

I too am a firm believer in investing only in the formats you understand and follow and like you I prefer to avoid formats with fast evolving metagames (like standard) as the effort required to keep up with them is more than I want to devote to it.
