That’s correct. Ashes of the Abhorrent stops nothing relevant in Standard. God-Pharaoh’s Gift and The Scarab God get around It stops Embalm and Eternalize, and that’s about it.

The way it’s worded it seems to explicitly ONLY stop the abilities of cards in graveyards, NOT the abilities of cards on the battlefield that can target cards in the Graveyard. As neither of those cards “casts” the card in the graveyard nor does it grant the card in the graveyard an ability…
