Grishoal in its current incarnation certainly doesn’t want the card, but this is the kind of shell I think Amber could work in given enough on-theme legends.

Grishoalbrand already runs 4x Simian Spirit Guide to cast Lightning Storm after drawing the whole deck. In that scenario (with a Griselbrand in play), Mox Amber could replace Spirit Guide? Not sure if the deck is interested in playing Jace but ramping into Through the Breach does seem like a good reward.

Did you read the article? My list already maxes on JVP. Mox isn’t card disadvantage because it stays on the field like a land. Are you thinking of Lotus Petal?

And maybe im wrong here

But I feel like Mox amber’s card disadvantage kind of goes against the grain of the rest of this decks strategy.

A 1 for 1 and 2 for 1 trading deck doesn’t seem like… The best place for a situational Mox.

I love the tasigur synergy but I feel like you don’t have enough ways to turn it on quickly to accelerate you meaningfully.

Like there’s literally no way to turn it on by turn 2 other than fetch scour fetch tasigur Mox.

Why is snapcaster not JVP? The deck seems fairly grindy and that would be legendary for a very similar effect. Plus looting extra moxes helps counteract that card disadvantage and decreased topdeck power.

I feel like snapcaster instant speed isn’t that important here since so many of your plays are sorceries.

Jace+Mox for push or dispels post board etc seems stronger than snapcaters and a turned off mox

Yes, I think that’s a fine starting point. It gets to wield the legend core of Tasigur, Scour, and Jace as you mentioned. But what’s it ramping into? Would be nice if there was a payoff card high on the mana curve. I don’t think that deck really has room for the Mind Sculptor since it’ll need plenty of early interaction and its combo plan requires a lot of slots. Another issue is that Tasigur and the combo both utilize the graveyard, softening the strategy to Rest in Peace. But give it a shot!

I love to see you working in esper, do you think there’s a way that a deck like esper goryo’s w/ Obzedat could benefit from tech along these lines? Floppy Jace, thought scour, and souls all already see some action in those lists. JMS seems like a decent fit as well.
