That’s true, but I’m not convinced Drake is better in Jeskai than walkers at comparable price points. I do think it’s important to acknowledge the graveyard in some way in every Modern deck. The most obvious way to do that is with cards that actively use the graveyard, but another is to include heavy-duty, two-sided hate. An upside of not folding to that very hate is that Drake can also function alongside it, at least in theory!

Seems too cute to me, anyway. There just isn’t anything we benefit hugely from opening, which is a requirement for running Powder. I wouldn’t hold my breath on Frenzy. Seems like a more restrictive Precognition Field to me, and despite my best efforts, that card never caught on either:

Also wondering if Experimental Frenzy can be broken in modern?

So there is potential to play these cards in Jeskai and still use that as a SB plan and not be concerned.

“All those Necrotic Ooze decks” — you had me going there for a minute! Here’s another one I missed though, agree it will see play in some capacity.

For example in all those necrotic ooze decks

Or in grishoalbrand to grab goryos

That’s true. Unmoored Ego will almost definitely join those cards in decks of the right colors!

Three mana, can disable not only combo decks but Tron and valakut as well. It’s not unheard of to play slaughter games or lost legacy already as is, surely extending the effect to lands atleast makes it interesting? People have tried ghost quarter surgical on Tron many times. On the play ego is one card that will accomplish the same thing. A bit dicier on the draw but still possible.
