So right now Thopter-Sword decks don’t play red, but with access to opal, glimmervoid, and spire of industry I think it’d be pretty easy for them to splash for the engineer if they wanted.

It’s very tempting. It heavily depends on how the metagame turns out. I think Humans is about to get worse because graveyard decks are going to get big and Rest in Peace is necessary because they’ll all have Shenanigans and Human’s hate will be ineffective. The question is whether it is better than Spirits in that situation.
