I agree: Opal is definitely the driving force behind these decks. I’m not sure just how centralizing they actually are, but if my suspicions are confirmed in the coming months of tournaments, I doubt Wizards will sit idly by.

Like it was one thing when you had to make deckbuilding concessions to consistently turn it on, but look at this deck…where are the concessions? Oh no, I have to play Astrolabe and Engineered Explosives and Gilded Goose and Oko…all strong and reasonable cards on their own. So you basically get to play a deck full of good cards AND 4 moxen as a…. bonus? This seems a little crazy to me, even for Modern.
