There was no way that Wizards wasn't going to let their last scheduled banned and restricted announcement go by without doing something about Oko, Thief of Crowns. However, I didn't expect it to go this far. Three cards banned would be a fairly substantial shift by itself, […]

Thanks to the internet, many finance realms are now 24/7, and the Magic finance realm is no different; though there aren't as many players in this particular realm. You may be wondering why I bring this up. The reason is that it's easy to miss important price changes and the reasons behind them. Every morning […]

Magic Online has a problem. A card value problem. In a recent Channel Fireball article, Florian Koch showed just how much card prices have fallen over the past few years: That's right. To own a playset of the cheapest version of every Magic card ever printed on MTGO would have cost you roughly $28,000 in […]

In the last segment of his artifact extravaganza, Carlos is looking at Dark Ascension and Kataki, War's Wage. This guy has typically been considered unplayable for Commander; but when you build around his effect, he can be pretty nasty.

Darksteel, the second set in Mirrodin block, is notorious for driving off more Magic players than any other set, even the Urza block. It contained high-power cards for Affinity that did not require finesse to win with. It was like UG Madness in that the best deck was cheap, easy to play and frustrating to metagame against.
