Agreed. The set is still too new for the prices to have settled (for the most part), but I suggest they’ll begin to do so within the next 3 weeks.

I would love to have attempted that, but I keep hearing wildly different thoughts on conspiracy, some areas love it, others hate it, and without a good ability to gauge the interest we can’t really gauge how much will be opened which directly affects the price point. I wish more people had answered my poll in the forums (55 is a decent number of course, but I’d have loved to have broken 100) as the more data points, the more comfortable I’d feel guestimating prices. However, I do feel that the logic behind WHEN the price should be lowest is sound, so while you may lose a bit of money between now and then if you buy/trade for the cards in the long run I think all of the ones I listed are good pickups.

Of the nine cards discussed in detail, the only two that look (on mtgstocks) like they might be at a bottom are scourge of the throne and council’s judgment. And neither has been flat long enough to have much confidence that those are really bottoms. The others are still declining, some precipitously. Besides, the ideal buy point isn’t the moment they first touch the bottom, but the moment when they start to go back up from it. Still too early to buy.

While they will print while there is demand, I don’t think there will be demand once M15 hits. Plus very few people are buying boxes just to bust open unlike normal sets. If I was going to buy cards off of TCG player or something, I would wait a few more weeks to see if it drops a little more. But if I’m trying to acquire through trading or buying them closer to buy list prices, I’d start right now and not miss any opportunities.

Also I thought I was going to see predictions for what price the cards would end up at.

I honestly believe we’re close, but I don’t think we’re there yet. This is NOT a short print run set, WoTC will keep printing it as long as there is demand. Having said that, my poll indicates that the demand will continue to decrease as many players tire of it or when the new core set releases. I expect the price of the cards in conspiracy to continue to drop slowly until the core set release. This will likely be there floor and that’s when I’d advocate picking up what you want to speculate on.
